Activated shungite differs from ordinary shungite in that the stone fraction undergoes two special chemical and thermal treatments.

In water that has undergone bactericidal treatment with chlorine, radical and semi-radical particles of an organic nature are inevitably formed. Free radicals have a negative effect on the human body and are the cause of many diseases, including pathology of aging and cancer.

Shungite exhibits specific activity in removing particles of a radical nature from water, exceeding activated carbon by 30 times, almost completely purifies water from these particles, bringing it to the level of bidistillate.

Shungite shows the ability to disinfect and purify water from bacteria, spores, protozoa, and blue-green algae.

Shungite has biological activity and is able to transfer this property to water. This is confirmed by the healing properties of the water emerging from shungite strata and water infused with shungite.

Shungite sorbent is capable of multiple regeneration, restoring completely sorption activity.

            Shungite can be used:

- in the preparation of drinking water through filters (domestic and industrial of various capacities for food enterprises and industries);

- purification and disinfection of water in wells;

- purification and conditioning of water wells;

- preparation of pool water;

- CHP water treatment;

- water treatment of cosmetic industries;

- treatment of storm and industrial effluents;

- water purification of closed revolutions;

- production of porous mineral-polymer composites.

Shungite or activated carbon?

Shungite in many processes is not inferior in sorption capacity to activated carbon, but is much cheaper.
